The end of 2022 saw us complete our fourth year of fundraising for the Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), a charity that provides hospice care for children and families who live in the South West. It has been a privilege to support such a worthwhile charity over this period and our total fund-raising efforts for 2022 has totalled £5,719.88. Adding this to previous years we have now raised £24,994.12.
Some of the key highlights in 2022 included:
- Alan Oakley took to the streets of London to take part in the 42nd London Marathon, joining over 42,000 other runners to complete the 26.2 miles around the Nation’s Capital – https://www.grosvenorconsultancy.co.uk/alan-oakley-the-london-marathon/
- Adam Holmes was finally convicted of eating all the office biscuits and spent some time in the fictious jail – https://www.grosvenorconsultancy.co.uk/jail-bail-the-biscuit-thief-has-been-caught/
- Matt Jones celebrated a very special Birthday and as part of the celebration helped to raised money through family and friends who donated money at a private function.
- The keen golfers have been raising money through our Corporate Golf membership with minimum donations of £15 per player for each round played.
Ben Olson, Grosvenor Managing Director is once again thankful to all the employees for their fundraising efforts, “being able to present CHSW with a cheque for £5,700 is again an incredibly proud moment and not only does it display the rewards of our teams hard work but we also know how important it is to the charity and how many people it can help. To be able to say we have raised just under £25K for CHSW is extremely satisfying, especially after all the challenges our team have undertaken.”
Children’s Hospice South West provide hospice care for children and families who live in the South West from their three hospices across the region; Barnstable, Bristol and St Austell. They provide care for children and young people aged 0 – 21 years with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions which mean that they are not expected to survive into adulthood.
For over 25 years, their care and support has provided a wide range of services for families in the South West including specialist palliative care, respite for the entire family, a sibling service for brothers and sisters, end of life care and a bereavement service for as long as they are needed.
