Grosvenor Consultancy Ltd are delighted to announce the decision to support two new charities in the year ahead. With an increasing number of people relying on food banks, we felt that our support should be focussed within this area and will be raising money to donate to two charities based close to our Swindon and Bristol offices.
The first charity we will be supporting is FareShare South West (FSSW).
FareShare South West (FSSW) tackles food poverty in the South West, using food that would otherwise go to waste and redistributing it to front-line organisations that need it. They work to fight hunger in the region by tackling food waste.
FSSW is an independent charity, and as part of the FareShare UK network, the only organisation in the South West with access to wholesale surplus food from over 500 food suppliers. Working collaboratively with local councils, charities, and communities, creating networks of food support for those most in need.
In 2022 FSSW delivered over 1,550 tonnes of food, enough for 3.7 million meals to 396 front-line organisations in the region. It is estimated that this food reached 47,520 vulnerable individuals.

Our second charity that we will be supporting is Swindon Food Collective.
Swindon Food Collective is a local foodbank with charity status. It aims to help people in Swindon and the surrounding areas who are suffering from financial hardship and finding it difficult to provide food for themselves, their family or their dependants.
In 2022, Swindon Food Collective fed 9,602 people (24% of whom were children) compared with 6,936 the previous year. Demand is high at present due to the current situations that people are facing for one reason or another. They have opened three more distribution centres to help meet demand and take the food nearer to where people live so that they don’t have to travel too far to get help. This means they are now distributing food from 11 centres in Lyneham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Highworth, Freshbrook, Penhill, Parks, Pinehurst, Abbeymeads, Liden, Stratton St Margaret and the town centre.
