We’re thrilled to announce that the Avon Gorge abseil challenge has been successfully completed, and thanks to everybody’s generosity, we’ve raised over £1,200 (£1,500 with gift aid)!
Currently, over a million people across the South West are living in poverty, while more than 4.6 million tonnes of perfectly good food is wasted each year in the UK. That’s enough to create over 10 billion meals.
FareShare South West – one of our chosen charities for 2024 – rescues this surplus food from being wasted and redistributes it to people in need across the region, helping reduce both hunger and environmental damage.
On Saturday 5th October, three courageous members of the Grosvenor team, Adam Jelley, Laylah Prentice, and Cameron Walsh, took on the iconic Avon Gorge abseil in Bristol. By putting their nerves to the test, they helped raise vital funds to support FareShare South West’s mission to bridge the gap between food waste and hunger.
